Coach's Description

Our goal is simple: to be The Best Place to Play Lacrosse! We have 100% graduation rate for our team! Our grads earn as much or more then Ivy League, or "high academic" schools with our average graduate earning $74,500 after they graduate. 45% of our graduates have earned a graduate-level degree (seven graduating classes so far). We have access to internship programs that rural schools do not. We have unforgettable beaches just minutes from our scenic riverfront campus. Top Majors of our JU Lax Graduates: Business (finance, accounting, marketing, administration, sports business) Health Science (nursing, pre-med, kinesiology, administration) Liberal Arts (communication, psychology, sociology paired with a business minor, education) JU Offers 70 majors and NONE are off limits to our JU WLax players! We opened a brand-new, lacrosse-only facility with the best locker room and meeting spaces in the world. The JLC is a unique home for our men's and women's teams and features a cafe, recovery room, staff offices, study hall Mac lab, and some amazing common spaces. It's truly an impressive facility and one of a kind! We follow awesome, unique core values and our staff, who has been together for ten years, adheres to these same values! Our head coach, Mindy McCord, is a 7x coach of the year and recently signed a contract extension good through the 2024 season (a 5-year contract). The school believes in our program and wants women's lacrosse to be successful! Here are a few of our on-field accomplishments: Earned Conference Championship Rings: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 NCAA Playoff Berths: 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 NCAA Scoring Championships: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2018, 2019 NCAA #1 Rankings: Scoring, Scoring Margin, Caused Turnovers, Ground Balls and Draw Controls (from 2010-2015) IWLCA Academic Merit Squad: 2013 (3rd in D1) IWLCA Academic Honor Roll: 2011-2019 Team GPA Award: Highest Team GPA at JU, 3.56 Our games are often on ESPN3 or ESPN+ and most of our games can be watched live!
