The LI Outlaws Lacrosse Club was established in 2007 by Doug Zakow and others. After being involved in various summer travel lacrosse programs we felt we could do something with a different focus that was not being done. We did not want to have teams that were “Best of the Best” or teams put together just to play extra games in summer. We wanted to have a program where the focus was on learning the game and fundamentals and that players were better at the end of the summer than at the beginning, and offer a better value. Although we want all teams to be highly competitive our main goal is not to win summer tournaments. However by focusing on teaching and fundamentals of the game through our coaches we have won more than our share from 2nd grade through Varsity levels and are now one of the most competitive programs in the country.
