Abbie McEntee enters her first season as an assistant coach at Lenoir-Rhyne after a two-year stint as a graduate assistant at the University of Indianapolis.

As a player, McEntee gradauted from Le Moyne in 2018 where she was a co-captain of the Dolphins National Championship squad and started 61 of 71 career games.

At UIndy, McEntee assisted in planning and implementing training and skill development sessions as well as scouting and recruiting. McEntee also helped with equipment and academic monitoring as well as leading individual player coaching sessions. UIndy went 21-3 in the two years McEntee was on staff and advanced to the NCAA Division II Regional Final in 2021. That season, the Greyhounds defeated eventual National Runner Up Queens by a final score of 15-5 and also defeated No. 1 Lindenwood 12-9 in the GLVC Tournament Championship game.

A native of Cazenovia, N.Y., McEntee tallied 34 goals and nine assists in 41 games during her freshman and sophomore campaigns as a midfielder. She also secured 37 ground balls and 25 ground balls in her first two seasons as a Dolphin. McEntee transitioned to defense her final two seasons, recording 13 ground balls and six caused turnovers during her senior year in 2018. Le Moyne went 22-1 on its way to a national championship, while limiting semifinal opponent Regis to just one goal.
