Abby is a gifted lacrosse player and athlete. We play Abby all over the field and if not for COVID she would have been a freshman starter on a very competitive HS team. As a sophomore she started every game on a State Finalist (4A) Team. We played her at midfield because we needed her stick on the circle. She is a hustler and a grinder and finds ways to come away with the ball. Where she really shines though is on defense. It is a regular occurrence for her to stop practices and explain to her teammates what she is doing defensively and what she needs them to do to remain in concert protecting our cage. We are really starting to see that leadership come through and she is a player that our underclassmen gravitate toward due to her willingness to be that vocal leader. She isn't just a defensive player though (that is likely the aspect of the game she would say she enjoys most) as evidenced by her two goals in the state semi-final game in 2021. Abby's presence is good for any team. Smart & Athletic, w/a great stick!
