Abigail "Abi" Salov
Recruit Profile
Vocal, strong, can take criticism, and fearless. Able to overcome obstacles with the experience of two major injuries.
I first started playing lacrosse in 3rd grade. I fell in love with the game and dedicated my time to it. In 8th grade, I started on the high school varsity team, and continue to do so. I am a very talented defender; I know how to read my attacker. During the end of my 8th grade season, I tore my ACL. A year later, my first game after being cleared, I tore it again. I have been training and working my hardest to strengthen my legs and improve on my overall skills ever since, in order to prevent that to happen again. I am feeling better and more confident than ever before, and I am determined to make onlookers surprised when they find out I took on such a tragic loss. My goal is to make others forget I had ever gone through these injuries, and continue on with my lacrosse career as if they had never happened.
I am currently taking 3 APs: AP Biology, APUSH, and AP Psychology. I also participate in multiple clubs: Model Congress, Habitat for Humanity, Irish Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Fempowerment, Theaterworks, and Ping Pong Club. I am in my school's marching band, playing the clarinet. I am on 2 other sports teams for my school: Varsity Bowling and Varsity Swim. Outside of school, I play CYO basketball and box lacrosse.
