Wingate University Vice President and Director of Athletics Steve Poston announced the hiring of Wiley in June. The former head coach at Colorado Mesa University is the second head coach in program history.

Wiley spent the last eight seasons as the head coach at Colorado Mesa, where she was the first head coach in program history when the sport was added in 2011. Wiley guided the Mavericks to a winning record in her fourth season despite playing in the highly-competitive Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, featuring perennial women's lacrosse powers Lindenwood and Regis. Under Wiley's guidance, the Mavericks have earned the Paul W. Brechler Award each of the last four years. This award is given to the team with the top GPA in the RMAC.

In the sixth year of the program's history, Wiley led the Mavericks to an 11-4 overall record, with a 5-2 mark in the RMAC. She was named the conference Coach of the Year in 2016. Wiley followed by leading Colorado Mesa to a 13-4 record in 2017, going 7-2 in league play, with the Mavericks falling to No. 12 Regis 14-12 in the semifinals of the RMAC Tournament.

In her final season at Colorado Mesa in 2018, Wiley led the Mavericks to a 12-4 overall record, going 7-2 in league play while outscoring opponents 243-163 on the season. CMU earned its first-ever national ranking, checking in at No. 22 in the preseason IWLCA poll. The season ended with a 12-11 overtime loss against Regis, who ended the season ranked seventh nationally, just below fellow RMAC power Lindenwood, ranked fourth in the final poll.

Wiley posted a 66-55 record in her eight seasons at Colorado Mesa, going 36-12 over her last three seasons. Prior to arriving at CMU, Wiley was a volunteer coach with Long Island Select Lacrosse with over four years of experience coaching at Kings Park Youth Lacrosse Camp, For the Love of the Game Camp and State University of New York at Cortland (SUNY) Women's Lacrosse Sport School.

A native of Kings Park, New York, Wiley played collegiate lacrosse at SUNY Cortland for two years. Prior to attending SUNY Cortland she played two years at Nassau Community College where she was a preseason All-American and team captain.
