Adam Hardy

Profile
Adam Hardy joined the Hobart lacrosse coaching staff for the 2018 season.

The 2016 Hobart graduate began his coaching career at the University of Tampa in 2017.

Last season, Hardy helped the Statesmen make a dramatic turnaround from 4-10 in 2018 to 11-5 in 2019 while finishing second in the NEC regular season standings and the NEC Tournament. The 2019 team broke the program's Division I era season records for wins, goals, assists and points.

Hardy spent his first season as a fulltime collegiate coach as the head coach of the Tampa junior varsity lacrosse team while also assisting with the varsity team. Thanks in part to his contributions, the Spartans offense ranked first in the nation in man-up offense and assists and ranked second in shooting percentage, sixth in scoring offense and seventh in scoring margin. Tampa’s dynamic offense lead the team to a 15-5 record, a Sunshine State Conference Championship and a trip to the Division II national semifinals. Hardy also guided the JV team to a 10-2 record, the program’s most successful season.

As an undergraduate, Hardy was an attackman for three seasons, but was hampered by injury. He later served the Hobart Athletic Department as a student athletic trainer and a student assistant lacrosse coach. Hardy was the 2016 recipient of the Joe Abraham Prize for his outstanding service to Hobart Athletics.

A native of Greensboro, N.C., Hardy graduated from Hobart with a bachelor’s degree in American studies and history.
