My name is Aerin O'Brien and I am a 2022 goalie. I attend Suffern High School and play for Cobra Kai Lacrosse. I started playing lacrosse when I was 7 and since then it has always been a passion of mine. When I started playing lacrosse I was a field player. About two years into playing I started to attend tournaments. There was nobody on my team interested in playing goalie so I offered to try it out for one of the tournaments. I never thought I wanted to be a goalie but from the time I started, I loved it! Over the years I have worked on improving my skills by attending clinics and working individually with goalie coaches. In addition to lacrosse, I am also a part of my high school field hockey and basketball teams. I was pulled up to varsity field hockey in my sophomore year and was also a starter on my JV basketball team. I was a member of the Suffern High School USO and am currently a part of the Project Smiles and Heroes and Cool Kids clubs. I have been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. During the year I work at a local farm and for the past few summers, I attended a beach lifeguard training program in Long Beach Island, NJ. I am planning on life guarding at a local pool this upcoming summer.
