Tocco was a four year letterwinner (2016-2020) and starter for Plattsburgh State University. A member of the 2017 SUNYAC Championship team and also the 2017 SUNYAC Elite 20 award recipient. In 2019, Tocco ranked third in the SUNYAC Conference in caused turnovers for close defensemen. Tocco graduated Cum Laude from Plattsburgh State University with a degree in TV-Video Production and a minor in Athletic Coaching. In 2020 Tocco earned a Masters degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education.

Tocco, a Hudson Valley native, graduated from nearby Rondout Valley. At Rondout, Tocco was a four time All-Division player, a three time All-Section player as well as a two time All-American. Tocco also played three years of varsity soccer and year of varsity swimming. Tocco was a second team All-Section soccer player and state qualifier for swimming his senior year.
