Hard Working, Dedicated, Coachable, Aggressive multi-sport athlete and 4.03 gpa.
I've been playing lacrosse since 1st grade in Manhasset and since 5th grade with my travel team, Team Elevate 2023 Blue. I was pulled up as a defender to the Varsity Lacrosse Team as a Sophomore for Manhasset High School and we won the Nassau County Class C Championship in 2021. We were ranked nationally all season in USA Lacrosse Magazine. I have made the Under Armour 150 (2020, 2021), Under Armour All-America Spotlight team selection (2021), Nike Elite 120 (2020), WPLL Futures (2020), Athletes Unlimited Futures (2021). I have also been voted Most Outstanding Defensive Player for my travel team for two years. I am on the Manhasset Varsity Swim Team that won the County Championship and I qualified for the County Championship for the 50 Freestyle (2021). Academically, I have taken a rigorous course schedule - AP World History, Advanced Science Research, Algebra II honors, English honors, and Chemistry honors. I won Honorable Mention at the SAAWA Science Fair for my Science Research Project. I am a member of the Junior National Honor Society, English Honor Society and have a 4.03 GPA. I participate in Key Club, Science Olympiad, Green Club and Peer Responder Mentor Program. I received the President's Award (2020) for completing over 100 hours of community services. I volunteer to help school age children at the Greek Language Institute, participate in my church's Thanksgiving Food Drive and coordinate Team Elevate's Christmas Magic Charity for my team.

Emma DeGennaro
Alex is a tremendous athlete and leader - both on and off the field. Not only does she work hard every time she steps on the field, but she is always asking what she can do next to get better. Alex is an extremely tenacious and impactful low defender, who consistently leads her team in caused turnovers and ground balls. She clears the ball extremely well and is a leader for the entire team, regardless of position. Alex’s hard work, lax IQ, and coachability make her an extremely desirable player to coach and teammate to play with.

Alex is one of the hardest working athletes we have ever had at Elevate. Besides being one of our top defenders, she is also a leader on the field who will go on to play very high level D1 Lacrosse in college. She is also a high academic student that will get into the best schools available.
