Alexandra Macutek
Recruit Profile
Hard worker on and off the field, aggressive, coachable, two-sport athlete, determined, team player, always excited to play, grateful for anytime I have with my team and playing in general.
I started playing lacrosse in 4th grade and immediately fell in love with the sport. In 7th grade, I was asked to play JV lacrosse for my school. I tallied 26 goals and 20 assists and was awarded the Hustle award by my coaches. In 8th grade, I was offered to play Varsity lacrosse but I turned it down to be a leader on my JV team, since we lost many players to the varsity team. After the first practice of the season, my school shutdown due to Covid-19. I was very bummed to hear our season was cancelled but I took the extra time at home to improve my shot, agility, and dodging. In 9th grade, I was thrilled to hear we were going to have a season as Covid was still a big concern. I was the second leading scorer on my Varsity team with 32 goals. I also led my team with 18 assists. Assisting and making the pass that leads to a goal is just as important to me as scoring goals. Lacrosse is a team sport and anything I can do to help the team win is what motivates me. I led the team in ground balls as well. At the end of the season, I was named to the First Team All Frontier League and to the Second team All North League. Lacrosse is my main sport but I also play soccer. I played JV soccer in 8th grade and Varsity soccer in 9th grade. I play club for both soccer and lacrosse. In school, I am taking Enriched English and am an Honor Roll A student. When I am not playing sports I am working as a hostess at The Boathouse Restaurant. I also babysit for kids in my neighborhood and volunteer in the community.
