Alison Valerio (Niagara '10) enters her eighth year as Head Coach at Washington & Jefferson College, posting an overall record of (60-40).

The Presidents recorded a 9-8 overall mark with a 6-1 conference record in 2019. W&J advanced to the PAC Tournament Championship game, which marked the fourth straight season that the Red and Black have reached the conference tournament championship contest. A total of seven Presidents were named All-PAC at the conclusion of the season, which included five First Team selections. Rae LaRochelle was named All-PAC First Team and All-ECAC Second Team following a record breaking junior season. LaRochelle recorded program records for goals (71) and points (95) in 2019.

Valerio has coached the following athletic distinctions: conference Defensive Player of the Year for three consecutive years (2016, 2017, 2018), 20 First-Team selections, 10 Second-Team selections, 2 Newcomers of the Year (2015, 2017), an ECAC South Defensive Player of the Year (2017), ECAC South Rookie of the Year (2017), 6 All-ECAC Division III selections, 3 IWLCA DIII All-West Region selections, 1 IWLCA Senior All-Start Game selection in 2018, and the 2018 NCAA DIII Statistical Champion for Ground Balls Per Game.

Academically, the Presidents have boasted PAC and IWLCA academic honors for the last 7 consecutive years.

Under Valerio's leadership, the Presidents acquired the 2016 and 2017 conference championships, as well as the program's first-ever trip to the NCAA tournament in 2017. For the last 5 consecutive years, the team has ranked at the top of the conference standings and reached the conference finals.
