Amanda Glass was hired as the first assistant coach in Kent State women's lacrosse history in January of 2018.

Glass, who joins the Golden Flashes after a stellar high school coaching career that boasts two Ohio state championship titles, will be responsible for coaching the goalies as well as coordinating the defense.

"Amanda has a history of winning in Northeast Ohio, and I am excited for her to bring that tradition and mentality to the Division I ranks," said Tierney. "Her experience as a goalie and goalie coach, her knowledge of Northeast Ohio lacrosse, and her enthusiasm for the growth of the sport in this area were all stand-out attributes in the hiring process. We are fortunate to add Coach Glass to the Kent State Lacrosse Family."

Glass spent the last two years at her high school alma mater, Western Reserve Academy, as the Assistant Athletic Director in addition to head lacrosse and assistant soccer coaching duties. Prior to WRA, Glass was the girls' lacrosse coach at Medina High School, where she won state championships in 2011 and 2012. Additionally, she led the Bees to the semi-finals in 2013 and the championship game in 2014. Glass has also been a director and coach at a number of lacrosse camps and clinics in Northeast Ohio through Force Sports and Gateway Lacrosse.

A 2010 Denison graduate, Glass was an acclaimed goalkeeper, garnering 1st team All-NCAC and IWLCA 2nd Team All-West Region recognition. Glass also received the "Heart of the Team" Award, as well as Denison University's NSCA Athlete of the Year, while earning a bachelor's degree in history.
