Amelia Stephenson
Recruit Profile
Fast and explosive, strong Lax IQ, coachable, determined, team player, multi-sport athlete
I started playing lacrosse when I was thirteen. Prior to lacrosse I was a competitive gymnast for five years. I first picked up a stick at a summer camp for lacrosse and decided to give lacrosse a try. Katy O'Mara was running the camp and asked me to attend some of her other camps. In the fall of 2017 I joined Carolina Fever. During my freshman year of high school I was the only freshman on varsity at Chapel Hill High School. I pride my self on being an explosive player when bringing the ball out of the defensive end of the field. I am also smart off ball and understand defensive angles. In the fall season I run cross country for Chapel Hill High school, and in the winter I run indoor track. I am taking all honors classes in school and AP US History, AP Language, and AP Biology. In my community I volunteer at a local organization called TABLE which provides food to children locally in my community. I also volunteer with a local lacrosse rec team and I love to see the sport growing in my community.
