Aniella has a terrific lacrosse IQ. She is utilized often as X or a down low attacker. Aniella has a keen eye for the draw and dump from X. She has patience when cutting on the inside when looking for the feed. She is strategic when attacking the goalie and is effective with her crease rolls from a right hand dominant goalie. Aniella looks to bait the goalie when down low and get her to react, then looks to shoot top shelf. If she ends up pulling out, she’ll bounce at the goalie’s feet. When playing high attack, Aniella is quick to draw the free position by using a variety of dodges and shutter steps each time she drives. She has a good read of when to pressure the goalie on clears and immediately re-defends to the opposite R-line. Aniella also can be seen taking the draw and utilized a draw to self to earn the one-handed snag. Aniella is commended for her communication on and off the field, with her coaches and teammates.
