Anna Baeth is in her fifth season as an assistant coach with the Hamline lacrosse team during the 2020-21 academic year.

A native of Frederick, Maryland, Baeth was a two-sport athlete (field hockey and lacrosse) in high school and again at Swarthmore College (’09). Baeth went on the earn her Masters in Exercise and Sport Studies from Smith College with a focus on coaching collegiate women.

While at Smith College, she was the assistant coach for the Mount Holyoke College (South Hadley, Massachusetts) field hockey and lacrosse programs. In 2011, she was the assistant lacrosse coach at Elms College (Chicopee, Massachusetts).

In 2012, Baeth was name the head field hockey coach at Oberlin College (Oberlin, Ohio), where she led the Yeowomen for three seasons. She was also the site director for USFHA’s Futures program in the upper-Midwest. Baeth left Ohio to pursue a Ph.D. in Sport Sociology from the University of Minnesota. While there, she serves as a research assistant at the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport and as a teaching assistant of Sport Psychology.

Baeth currently coaches with the Minnesota Lakers and when not coaching, can be found rock climbing and riding her bicycle, though not at the same time.
