Recruit Profile
Fast, aggressive two way midfielder; 3 sport athlete.

I have always loved team sports, ever since I was little. I began playing competitive soccer, basketball, and baseball when I was 7, and transitioned to lacrosse in place of baseball in 8th grade. Being a 3 sport athlete has benefited my overall game, in terms of lacrosse IQ, off ball movement, and playing as a team player. I use my soccer and basketball skills - boxing out, screening, and kicking - when going for ground balls. Conditioning for soccer has also helped my stamina as an athlete.

I am comfortable dodging and shooting with both hands. I play with speed, aggressively compete for ground balls and play hard in transition both ways. As a sophomore I played JV soccer, JV basketball, and Varsity lacrosse for Westfield High School. As a junior, I will play Varsity Soccer as striker and two way wing.

Academically, I am proud to have made the honor roll this year. As a Sophomore, I took Chemistry Honors, History Honors, and Algebra 2 Advanced. Next year I will take AP Biology, American Studies Honors (English and History combined), Pre-Calc Advanced, and Spanish 3.

I volunteer for a soup kitchen called Agape, based in Elizabeth NJ, through the Presbyterian Church of Westfield. I have participated in service trips with Saint Helen's Church of Westfield NJ, and I look forward to continuing in the future. In addition, I volunteer every Winter selling Christmas trees for the YMCA. All proceeds raised during the sale are donated to local charities and non-profit organizations.

I am currently working the Westfield Blue Devils lacrosse camp as a counselor. I am also doing private lacrosse sessions for kids in town this summer.

Honors & Awards:
NAL Summer Invitational 2021:
US Club Lacrosse "players that caught our eye on Day One":
"Explosive first step and smooth dodging ability made him a threat all day. Can shoot the heck out of the ball with both hands and looks smooth doing so. Doesn't shy from contact and certainly loves to push transition. Not only can he play offense, he is a beast on the defensive end, stuffing his opponents and picking up ground balls. Fun player to watch who will continue to make a name for himself." - US Club Lacrosse on Anthony Buoscio (7/24/21)
All Star Team - EPOCH North American Invitational Showcase 2021
All Star Team - APEX 60 Summer Finale Showcase 2021
APEX 60 Player Highlight:
"Buoscio embodied the role of the two way midfielder last week as he made big time pays on both ends of the field. On the defensive end Buoscio plays broken down, and in an athletic stance. He rides the defenders hips well not biting on stick fakes and frequently able to stand up dodgers to stop them in their tracks. Buoscio becomes an ever greater threat with the ball in his stick on the offensive end. Great top end speed and quick acceleration are the staples in his game. When given space Buoscio never sits back as he realizes the potential to create offense. Once moving downhill Buoscio is lethal on the run as he can rattle off an accurate and fast shot without much time. Keeping his head up on the dodge when he draws slides he does an excellent job of finding the open man on the inside or the backside of the defense for an easy lay up. The most endearing quality of his game is his non stop hustle. Throughout the week Buoscio was able to make several runs up and down the field without losing a step pointing towards him having a high motor. Buoscio looks to fit right into the role of the two way collegiate midfielder." - APEX 60

Anthony is a fast and agile middie who can create separation when dodging. He is strong at shooting on the run. We rounded, strong on defense, ground balls and in the clearing game. Hardworker with a bunch of potential.
