Augustana graduate Anthony Nobiling joined the Augustana men’s lacrosse team as an assistant coach in September of 2016.

Nobiling comes to the Vikings from St. Ambrose University where he has served as an assistant coach for the past four years. The Augustana alum returns after graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology.

Nobiling has had his hand in several facets of the program at St. Ambrose where he aided in the development of a new lacrosse team and held the role of offensive coordinator. Additionally, he worked on recruiting student-athletes in accordance to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics guidelines. In 2016, Nobiling coached four Association of Independent Institutions all-conference selections.

In 2015, Nobiling began as the coaching director of the Quad City Lacrosse Association. Working directly under the board of directors he focused on organizing practices to introduce new players to the game while developing interest in Eastern Iowa.

During his tenure at Augustana, Nobiling, a two-year starter, played for three seasons as an attackman on the Augustana Club Lacrosse team. The Augustana varsity men’s lacrosse program began in 2012.

Anthony is married to Teresa Nobiling and lives in Moline, Illinois.
