Austin Ambrose joined the Coker University men's lacrosse staff in August 2021.

Ambrose comes to Coker after serving as the head coach at Montreat College since 2019. In 2020, his Montreat team earned the highest team GPA in program history. Last season, his team set the program's single-game goals record. He also serves as the Director of Operations for Atlanta Lacrosse Club. Ambrose previously worked with head coach John Snow at Reinhardt University as the defensive coordinator, helping Reindhardt to NAIA national championships in 2018 and 2019. In addition to his duties at Reinhardt, he was the Co-Founder and Director of Operations for the Atlanta Kings Lacrosse Club. Before joining the Atlanta Kings Club, he coached travel lacrosse as well as at the high school level.

As a player, Ambrose currently plays for the Italian Hermitage team while previously being on the practice squad for the Ohio Machine. Ambrose was a goalie for Snow at RU from 2015-19, earning NAIA All-American honors twice, being Team Captain for two years, a two-time conference Defensive Player of the Year and being a part of the 2017 NAIA national championship team.

Ambrose holds a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from Reinhardt, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in college athletic administration at Coker.
