Recruit Profile
Very coachable, happy and upbeat player. Excellent teammate who plays ferociously in-between the pipes. She is fast in the cage and an accurate passer on clears.
I started playing lacrosse in 2014. My team did not have a goalie, so I took the opportunity to try my hand as a goalie. In my short career, I have had the great fortune to be a 4x Maverik/Brine All-American National Player, U.S. Nationals 2x and won the first year with Igloo Lacrosse. I got pulled up to varsity in 8th grade, and was able to achieve eight double digit saves with an overall save percentage of 53.1%. I was honored to have received the 2019 Varsity All-Conference award. In the 2021 lacrosse season, I posted 155 saves with an overall save percentage of 59% highlighted by a 22 save game against Mepham High School. I am also honored to have received the 2021 Varsity All-County Award. Throughout my lacrosse journey, I have been blessed on and off the field. The friends I have made will be lifelong. I have learned that it's not about who you are playing with, it's about the chemistry and relationships you are able to build with the team you are lucky enough to be a part of. On my current team Empire, the team dynamic is not just about winning, although winning is a nice touch, it is about having fun and learning to grow as an athlete. Day by day we learn to get better at what we do, not try to beat everyone else around us. I have learned that being a goalie is a big responsibility, and regardless of my success or failures, the team will always be by my side with words of encouragement. The girls I play with are not just my teammates, they are my friends and they are my family. One of my favorite quotes is, "It's not about the time you have, it's about what you do with said time." This quote is inspires me to work hard and make every minute count.

Ava is simply put a difference maker and a game changer. Her natural instincts and ever improving mechanics between the pipes give any team she plays for a chance to compete. Ava has a high lacrosse IQ and is a student of every game; reading and learning the tendencies of opposing shooters. She is active outside of the cage both defensively and on the clear. Her composed nature allows her to handle pressure well while making clears with pinpoint accuracy. Ava has started and played every minute of every Varsity game for us since she was in 8th grade and has grown into a mature, confident goaltender with skill and composure beyond her age. She is a passionate competitor willing to do whatever it takes to help her team succeed. Having played and coached at the collegiate level, I am confident that Ava’s future is bright and she will be a mainstay and difference maker on any collegiate team.

It is hard to find the words to describe Ava as both an athlete and a person. Simply put, she is a natural. Ava is incredibly skilled, harworking, and passionate. She is a competitor and coachable. I have been working with Ava consistently since she was in 5th grade and there has never been a training session where she did not bring her "A" game. She is self-motivated, thrives under pressure and conscientious. Every aspect of her game is stellar. As a coach, you want a player who is going to "buy-in" to the program, Ava will do just that and than some. With Ava on your team, you are guaranteed to have an athlete who is dedicated, shows leadership, and a team-player.

Ava is a top D1 goalie recruit without a doubt. In the many years I have been coaching I have never had, or have seen on another team, a goalie with better instincts. Her form is spot on. She reads the ball insanely well. What would be an amazing save for other goalies Ava makes look like an average shot. Her clears are spot on short and long. Ava has an infectious personality that her teammates are drawn to which helps with team chemistry. In my opinion she is one of the top goalies in the country for her age group.

Ava is a naturally gifted athlete whose reflexes, ability to read plays and quick feet make her one of the best goalies at her age level. She brings a proactive aspect to the position that allows her to make plays I’ve personally only seen from a handful of college goalies. She is only going to get better and her coachable and friendly personality makes her a great teammate and a great player to coach. She is self motivated and is able to adjust to any type of defense. Any team that has Ava on it can compete at any level. Recruit this goalie!
