Ava Poupard
Recruit Profile
#31 T3 Shore Elite 2021 Black and #16 Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Varsity- excellent stick skills, hard-worker, leader, coachable, fast & aggressive, high field IQ, and a team player
I had a lacrosse stick in my hands before I ever learned to walk. My dad grew up playing lacrosse on Long Island and he became a Division 1 lacrosse player at the University of Delaware. When I was in Kindergarten I began playing youth lacrosse. I have worked many years toward my goal of being a college and professional women's lacrosse player. While I have played many sports in my life, I have always loved lacrosse more than any other. As a Freshman, I made the RFH Varsity lacrosse team which won 6 consecutive state championship titles and 4 consecutive shore conference championship titles. I am a team player that can play any position on the field. I made the T3 All-Stars competition team, the Warrior national team, and two-consecutive years on the Brine national team. I pride myself at setting up offensive plays, opening up opportunities for myself and my teammates, and communicating on defense and offense. I excel at ground balls and causing turnovers in transition. I have an extremely strong and accurate shot both left and right. I play field hockey and run winter track. I work hard and put extra time training at many local facilities including ESSA Sports Performance. I am an AP and Honors student with a 3.9 GPA. I participate in the environmental club, habitat for humanity club, sign language club and fashion club. I also volunteer at many local fundraising 5K races and beach sweeps. I love living at the Jersey Shore where I can spend my spare time at the beach and surf.
