I started playing lacrosse when I was eight years old. I played many sports when I was younger, but mostly hockey, baseball, and volleyball the longest before dedicating my time to lacrosse and cross country. I ran cross-country all throughout middle school and even went to nationals three times. In lacrosse, I had always played midfield. However, in my freshman year, my varsity lacrosse team was short-handed on experience and I was selected to be a starter on defense. I adapted to the new position and was an important contributor, my team made it all the way to the regional state tournament but lost in overtime. It was a disappointment for all of us but it has given us great motivation to work harder and get better. I play for the True 2022 Illinois State team along with the True National team and Premier team. I enjoy playing for these teams because it is a great chance to meet new people and create great teammates and experiences. It also helps strengthen me as a player and teammate. When I do have free time, I assist in teaching dance classes to many of the jr. high schools in my town. I enjoy dancing and working with the kids because I like helping people and being creative. These are the subjects that I am interested in looking into more. Lacrosse, has become a passion for me, the effort I put in, not only during practices but outside with training and stick work. I am comfortable shooting with both hands and am confident with picking up ground balls. In my experiences for lacrosse, I love to work hard and push myself.
