Blase Cesarone is entering his first season as a member of the Gwynedd Mercy Men's Lacrosse Coaching Staff in 2020.

Coach Cesarone will be serve as the Offensive Coordinator as well as Recruiting Coordinator.

Before joining the Griffin staff, Blase was the head coach at Pope John Paul II High School in Royersford, Pa. In 2017, he helped guide the Golden Panthers to their most successful season in program history earning them a spot in their first PAC Final Four, as well as notching their first district playoff win. In his three seasons at PJPII, the program set numerous school records including most wins in a season, first wins against many schools in the division, district appearances as well as district wins. During the summers, Blase coaches with Blackbear Lacrosse Club.

Prior to his coaching career, Blase was a graduate of Daniel Boone High School where he was team captain and earned all-conference honors all four years.

Following high school, Blase was a four-year player and graduate of Gwynedd Mercy University majoring in Human Services. Initially a midfielder, Cesarone was better suited as an attackman and found his role in the 2015 season. Cesarone's new role found him ranked among the career leaders in game-winning goals. He finished his career with 36 goals and 10 assists and played in the CSAC championship game in 2016.
