Brandon Solomon
Recruit Profile
Intelligent, coachable, team oriented multi-sport athlete. Multifaceted defender who plays LSM, Close and SSDM.
I started playing lacrosse in K, playing close defense up till 7th grade and then I began to play Long Stick Midfield. I started playing club lacrosse in 4th grade. I represented Philadelphia on the "Big 5" team that went to the World Series of Youth Lacrosse and finished in 5th place. I also represented Philadelphia on the Nike All Star Games "Team Philadelphia" in 2020. That year I was also invited to the Inside Lacrosse ID Event. I made the varsity roster for Spring-Ford my freshman year but our season never started because of the pandemic. I started at LSM for Spring-Ford my Sophomore year and played close D as well. I made the Pioneer Athletic Conference Honorable Mention team as a Long Stick Specialist. I led our team in Caused Turnovers (19) and was 5th in Ground Balls (29) while missing 3 games due to a COVID close contact. We made it to the 2nd round of the PIAA District 1 tournament. In 2022 I continued to play LSM on faceoffs but primarily played close D and was routinely tasked to shut down the opposing teams best offensive player. We won our conference (PAC) championship and held teams in our conference under 4 ppg. We appeared in the district quarterfinals. I made the PAC 1st team, Mercury all area 1st team and All Eastern PA lacrosse association first team. I believe I possess strong stick skills, a high lacrosse IQ and play good fundamental defense. This summer because of depth at pole and need, I played some SSDM. I am supportive of my teammates and look for opportunities to improve. I enjoy skiing and fishing, I have run Cross Country and weigh lift. I also play rec basketball. I took Honors Chem, Honors Calc and Honors Modern World History my Sophomore Year. I volunteer with our local youth lacrosse program at their free beginner clinics and refereeing for the K-2 program.

I had the honor of being the first coach to put a lax stick in Brandon's hands. He has become one of the most skilled players that I have coached in my lax career. He listens. He executes. When he makes an error he does not get down, but rather seeks guidance on how to improve. He is a consummate team player. He mentors younger players. He is a true asset to the game. While his lax skills are impressive he has excellent character is the envy of all. He is a model student & is well respected by his teachers & peers.
