"I am excited to welcome Brice to the Denver Lacrosse Family," Kelly said. "Brice is an extremely creative and strategic coach with a wealth of experience. After one of the most successful seasons in our program's history, I know Brice is up to the task of helping this team reach even higher."

Queener was named the head coach of the Texas DIII University last summer, leading the Pirates to a 7-6 record in 2019, the first winning season in program history.

Prior to his time at Southwestern University, Queener spent two seasons as an assistant at Fresno State, leading the MPSF program to the first two winning seasons in its program history as well, and a trip to the MPSF Championship.

"I'm fired up for the opportunity to work with an elite level lacrosse program, coaching staff and University," Queener said. "I can't wait to get started!"

In the three seasons prior to his stint at Fresno State, Queener started the women's lacrosse program at Rhodes College (DIII) in 2013-14, guiding the Lynx to a 36-11 record a Southern Athletic Association regular season title and a pair of SAA Tournament Championships. The Lynx advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in both 2015 and 2016.

After assistant coaching tenures at Siena and Binghamton, Queener founded the women's lacrosse program at The Hill Academy before taking the head coaching job at Rhodes.

As a student-athlete, Queener played at Georgetown University, making four-straight NCAA Quarterfinal appearances with the Hoyas. Queener's six-year Major League Lacrosse career saw him drafted by the Rochester Rattlers and playing there for two seasons before spending four with the Hamilton Nationals, including a trip to the title game in 2011.
