Recruit Profile
High energy player, with a team-first mentality. A coachable leader, with high Lax IQ and a strong desire to get better. Accurate shot!

Right before my ninth grade year, my family moved closer to the school I attend, but further away from the really strong and winning lacrosse program I had played with since kindergarten. I currently attend a highly competitive, private college preparatory high school in Salt Lake City, that unfortunately does not have a lacrosse team. This move and the high school rules, meant I had to start my high school lacrosse career playing for a new team that was not known for its lacrosse. I value my academic life very much and have always had a love for my school and school work. I am so grateful Ive had the opportunity to attend a strong academic school, but its been a challenge to play for a new lacrosse program. Some of the kids I grew up playing lacrosse with used a false address in order to play for the team where I used to live and they encouraged me to do the same. It was an ethical dilemma, but in the end I decided my reputation and character were more important than winning a State championship. Additionally, the thought of possibly getting my entire team disqualified was more than I was willing to risk for my own benefit. I accepted the challenge of playing for the lower-ranked lacrosse team and have learned a lot and had a great experience.

My top academic achievement would be receiving the 8th-grade Graduation Teacher Award. This award is given to a student who represents the values of the school.
Other academic achievements include:

- Head Masters List
- Invited to and attended Student Diversity Leadership Conference, Seattle, Washington
- Member of the Student-Life Planning Group

I have been playing basketball and lacrosse for about ten years. I play both sports competitively and for my schools. I love playing sports and traveling all over the country to amazing places to play them. My proudest moment in basketball is making varsity as a freshman. My proudest moment in lacrosse is winning the 8th Grade State Championship.
Other athletic achievements include:

-Middle School Basketball: Region Championships - 6th, 7th and 8th grades
-Varsity Basketball: Region Championships - 2019, 2020 and 3rd place in 2A State Championship - 2019
-Varsity Lacrosse:
Only freshman and starting player on Varsity team
Led team in assists and total points as a freshman
Received Freshman of the Year and Attackman of the Year awards
-Club Lacrosse:
Multiple championships with nationally ranked True 2022 team
Selected to be a member of the True National 2022 team
Member of the True Western National 2022 team

I strongly believe in community service, helping people in need and making the world the best it can possibly be. I learned the importance of community service while on my first competitive basketball team. The team required at least one hour of community service per week. Each player was required to have a service log that would be approved weekly by a coach. My proudest moment of service would be volunteering each year at the 5K for Cancer in Salt Lake City. This cause is close to my heart because my mom had cancer when I was young and that experience has motivated me to help in any way to find a cure for cancer. Other civic achievements include:

-Reading to children at Pingree School for Autism
-Working in the school garden each Fall
-Volunteering at the Utah Food Bank
-Donated equipment and conducted a soccer clinic for a small village in South Africa.
-Shoveled walkways for elderly people in the neighborhood during the winter season

A rangy attackman with a strong shot; Briggs has great anticipation as a creative dodger with great understanding in using his hips/body lean/length to breakdown his man, initiate defensive slides and utilize great vision to make the heads play. GREAT LOCKER ROOM GUY. Intelligent, driven and committed student athlete.

PJ Martin

An intelligent attackman with both range and inside finishing ability. His fluid athleticism and good decision making are noticeable in attacking the cage with the ball and in his off ball movement. He has a intense competitive spirit and edge which make him a great teammate to play with.

Neil Blaney

Savvy beyond his years and with an efficiency of motion usually reserved for collegiate playmakers. Polished finisher, with high level shot placement decisions and execution. Smooth dodger, uses leverage very well and reliably anticipates coverage reactions. Now seeing the play ahead, the skip lanes and the short dumps.
