Bryan McClure is in his first season as the assistant men’s lacrosse coach in 2020-21.

McClure, who will focus on the team’s defense, arrives at Thiel with significant high school and club team coaching experience. Most recently, he was a varsity assistant at North Allegheny High School and Bellevue High School (Bellevue, Wash.).

McClure started his high school coaching career in 2009 as the head coach of North Allegheny High School’s freshmen team. In his first year, he led the squad to a perfect 15-0 record and was later promoted to be the high school’s junior varsity head coach.

In 2014-15, McClure became the second-ever varsity head coach at Vincentian Academy, a team which fell one win shy of qualifying for the playoffs. A season later, he served as the head coach at Quaker Valley High School, where he led the Quakers to a 12-5 record and an upset win in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs.

After his stint at Quaker Valley High School, McClure went on to spend two years as the head coach at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, Wash. He has served as the program director for Ultimate Lax, which he helped develop into the largest club in Western Pennsylvania with teams in Pittsburgh and Erie.

After playing one season at Alfred State College for head coach Jason Locker, McClure transferred to Clarkson University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business and technology management.
