Oregon women’s lacrosse head coach Chelsea Hoffmann bolstered her coaching staff on June 29, 2021, with the hiring of assistant coach Caitlin Prince.

Prince – who spent the last three seasons as an assistant at the University of Cincinnati – will join Hoffmann’s staff as the team’s new offensive coordinator.

“I’m so excited to welcome Caitlin Prince into our program and the Oregon Athletics community,” Hoffmann said. “Her ability to teach and build relationships with student-athletes will be a tremendous asset to our staff. Can’t wait for her to hit the ground running as a Duck!”

Prior to going to Cincinnati, Prince spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons as an assistant coach at Duquesne, her alma mater. She started her coaching career as a development assistant at Robert Morris in 2015 and 2016 after earning degrees in sociology and communications from Duquesne in 2014.

“I am thrilled to have the privilege to work within Oregon Athletics and compete in the Pac-12,” Prince said. “I am grateful for the support received from Chelsea Hoffman, Lisa Peterson, and Rob Mullens in joining the Duck family. I am eager to get started in Eugene to continue providing a competitive, enhanced student-athlete experience. I am humbled to have this opportunity and so proud to be a Duck!”

Prince helped lead Cincinnati to a 12-7 overall record in her first year in 2019, including a win over Temple to open the AAC Tournament. Overall, Cincinnati owned a 22-21 record in the three seasons with Prince on staff.

Prince was a four-year standout at Duquesne from 2011-14, leaving as the program’s No. 3 all-time scorer with 162 career goals. She scored a single-season record 62 goals as a sophomore in 2012, earning IWLCA all-West/Midwest Region second-team honors. She was an all-Atlantic-10 Conference first-team selection in both 2012 and 2014.
