Caitlyn Hoen
Recruit Profile
Life-long multi-sport athlete. Only 2-years of organized lacrosse and improving rapidly. Exceptionally coachable and working hard daily to be able to contribute at the collegiate level
I didn't start playing lacrosse until 8th grade. Covid canceled my 9th grade season. In spring of 2021, I finished my first full year of high school lacrosse as a sophomore where I started at midfield and led the team in draw controls for the varsity team. Towards the end of the year, my coaches asked me to play club. Summer 2021 was my first time playing club.
I understand I have a lot of catching up to do to my peers and I put the work in needed to do so. My lax IQ is continuing to develop and I spend hours each week outside of practice working hard to make that improvement.
I am a multi-sport athlete, including Cross Country (HM All Conference fall 2019, 1st Team All Conference, Team MVP and conference runner of the year fall 2020, 1st Team All-Conference and Team MVP fall 2021) I have been a competitive equestrian rider since age 8 with high ribbons at USEF A shows and local circuit champion in various divisions 2015 through 2020. I also played soccer and basketball in middle school.
Academically, I attend Worcester Preparatory School in Berlin, MD. I have been on the Head of School Academic list all 8 terms of my freshman and sophomore years. My overall average is a 95 including AP and Honors classes and I was recently inducted into the National Honor Society.
