Recruit Profile
I am a well rounded player on both sides of the ball that possesses great leadership abilities, a strong lax IQ, and a constant drive to improve my game.

My name is Cameron Gouveia, and I am currently a junior at Wheeler high school. My current goals are to accel in the classroom, be a great teammate on and off the field, and improve myself as a lacrosse player every time I step on the turf. I would like to play professionally, but my main goal is to play on a competitive college lacrosse team and be a strong part of their program. I am a great candidate for your team because I will do anything to win. I play midfield, but I have also played defense and attack on other teams that lack players in that position. I also have had faceoff training, and I consider myself proficient at faceoffs as well.

I am different from other recruits because I am a very hard worker and I would consider my self as a well-rounded athlete. I am always looking to make myself better any time I can whether that's hitting the weights, perfecting my shot, working on my speed and agility, or working on my defense and dodging. I enjoy playing and watching almost all sports. I have played on lacrosse, hockey, basketball, football, and soccer teams over the course of my life. I also enjoy playing baseball and tennis, as well as fishing, and bowling. I believe my love for sports has helped me become a better lacrosse player because I take ideas and things I learn from other sports and apply them to my lacrosse skills. Also, throughout my freshman, sophomore, and junior year, I have maintained at 4.1 GPA while taking 7 honors classes, an advanced French and math class, and 2 APs. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends when I am not on the playing field. It is not uncommon to see me perfecting my dodging in my yard, or working hard in the weight room, and I will bring the same commitment and hard work I have endured my whole life to your lacrosse team.
