Caroline McCormack
Recruit Profile
My best attributes are speed, stamina, intensity and multi-sport athleticism. Coachable, determined, team player, enthusiastic and hard working.
I'm a multi-sport athlete who began playing lacrosse in the 4th grade. During freshman year in High School, I played soccer and lacrosse. Sophomore year, I played JV Soccer, varsity Winter Track (All County honorable mention) and varsity Lacrosse (Group 4 State Champs), all while balancing a competitive placement honors program (AHLISA) that incorporates the arts into the English and Social Studies curriculum. I love to draw, paint and sing, so this program allows me to learn in a very creative environment. I'm also studying Chinese.
My speed and endurance differentiate me as a lacrosse player. In order to build on these strengths, I will drop soccer next year and instead run with the Cross Country and varsity Winter Track (800M, 1600M) teams. I have great field vision and I enjoy creating opportunities for my teammates through hard work all over the field. I'm confident in my stick skills in the offensive zone and know when to aggressively attack the goal.
This past Spring, I volunteered to coach a 6th grade travel lacrosse team. This summer, I will again work with young lacrosse players at a camp in my town and at a local nursery school program. Next year, I will volunteer as an Ambassador for my high school, which will require me to represent the school at various events. I will continue in the AHLISA honors program and I look forward to Chinese III honors and AP Psychology.
My goal for college is to find the school with the best combination of strong academics and a competitive lacrosse program.
