I've been playing lacrosse and basketball since third grade and club lacrosse since fifth grade. As the youngest of four girls I've learned a lot from playing with my sisters, as they showed me what it's like to play at the collegiate level. As a two-sport athlete, I see many commonalities between lacrosse and basketball both offensively and defensively. I play point guard in basketball and many of those skills carry over to my lacrosse skills; When I am bringing up the ball in basketball, I see the whole court as I look to feed to my teammates and create a smart play. The hand-eye coordination and game IQ needed to play is also very similar. Although I'm right handed, I practice with my left hand every day and I'm comfortable using both.

As a sophomore, I made varsity lacrosse on our very competitive high school team (Ridgewood is nationally ranked 21st in the nation by USLacrosse magazine). I learned a lot while playing with a group of talented and driven girls, and it visibly elevated my game this year. I am most proud of my stick skills, strong shot on goal and good shot placement.

Like lacrosse, art is another one of my passions and I hope to pursue it in college. As an artist, I started a very successful custom jewelry business my freshman year. Since then, it has been altered to a customized visual arts platform, where I draw and paint designs on canvas shoes and other various personal items. I am in my second year of AP Studio Art and also a student of the AHLISA program (American History and Literature with Integrated Study in the Arts) at RHS, which is an interdisciplinary course that combines the study of fine and performing arts with a strong academic focus on the study of both literature and history.
