Carolyn Thistlewaite
Recruit Profile
Relentless, strong midfield and shut down defender with no fear. Extremely coachable with excellent field vision. All League Freshman/Sophomore.
I have played many sports growing up including basketball, soccer, field hockey and lacrosse. Lacrosse is by far my favorite and the sport that I want to play in college. I utilize the skills that I learned in the other sports to improve my lacrosse game such as field awareness, tough defense and strong finishing on offense. I was recently selected to the WPLL 2020 New Jersey Futures and the US Lacrosse Women's Philly National Team.
In my sophomore season at New Hope Solebury in 2018 we were able to make the playoffs for the first time in school history. I was selected first team All Intell (Doylestown, PA Area newspaper), all league BAL and I scored my 100th goal in my 34th game. In my freshman season in 2017, I was selected first team all league BAL, honorable mention All Intell and I led the league in draw controls while starting every game.
In January of 2017, I was able to participate in an international lacrosse tournament in the Netherlands, competing against national teams from the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Sweden. I was the leading goal scorer for my team, which placed second in the tournament. I love talking and getting advice from my coaches, especially on areas that I can improve my game.
I am also a 2 year starter for my high school varsity field hockey team. I was named 2nd team all league for 2017. Our team made it to the final 8 of the state playoffs, after making it to the first round last year. Our defense only allowed 1 goal in the regular season and 5 in the playoffs. I was captain of my 7th and 8th-grade soccer team, the 8th-grade team went undefeated.
I have earned a cumulative 3.8 GPA (weighted) through my sophomore year at New Hope-Solebury High School, which is ranked #5 in the state of Pennsylvania academically. This past spring I was also a volunteer youth lacrosse coach for 4th and 5th grade girls and volunteer field hockey coach for 6th grade girls. In my free time, I love to travel and hang out with my 3 younger sisters.

Carolyn has a strong solid build and is tough as nails on the field. She is a controlled physical player and commands a presence every time she steps on the field. Love her intensity and ability to make plays.
Brian Klisavage
I was shocked to find out that Carolyn was only in 9th grade. When I first saw her play and observed the maturity of her game at both ends of the field, I assumed she was a junior or senior. Big time player and very coachable.
Betsy Dougherty
Strong and dominant on the field. Intense, focused and determined. These characteristics are consistent in Carolyn's play. She is a versatile player with solid defensive skill and game sense, but can also score at will.
