Recruit Profile
Multi-sport athlete, honors/AP student, team leader, eager to learn and help others grow, enjoy a challenge, and willing to play any role that helps the team.

My HS goals are to make it into honors & AP classes; maintain a 3.8+ GPA; & succeed in sports. For college, I want to study civics, economics, & entrepreneurship. I would make a difference to a college team because I work w/ people no matter what skill level. If they are @ a higher skill level, I will learn & become better & vice versa. Learning from a win/loss is where people really grow & can go from benchwarmer to starter. My HS is small, remote, & we are having our inaugural season which makes it hard for me to get recruited. To play on a club team I have to drive 2 hours one way (4 hours round trip) to attend practice. I am a multi-sport athlete (soccer, basketball, & lax). I am willing to fill a gap when needed. For example, coaches have put me in at goalie & faceoff.

Like I mentioned in my bio…I’ve had the honor of playing for some legendary coaches since I started playing in Springfield PA back in 1988. From Stu Brown to Jon Heisman to Jack Kaley and all in between, they all were world class coaches in my eyes. Moving forward, Carter Chamberlain is a leader and a standout both on and off the field. He’s the kind of kid who’s gonna look you in the eye and give a firm handshake while he asks how you’re doing. That’s hard to come by these days. Carter has the will and drive to be great…on and off of the lacrosse field. In closing, I firmly believe that Carter would have been a favorite of any one of my former coaches. It’s been my honor and privilege to coach him over the years at the youth level and into high school. I know he will be an asset to whichever school/program he decides to attend. Sincerely, John Vella Fraser Valley Lacrosse Club - Founder/President 970-509-9778
