Casey Kear was hired as Head Coach of the BSC men's lacrosse program on June 13, 2013.

Under Kear, the Panthers advanced to the Southern Athletic Association semifinals in 2017 after finishing 4-3 in conference play. BSC went 8-9 overall, but placed five on all-conference teams. McHale Schnieder and Davis Thompson highlighted the group by earning first-team honors, and Tom Grove was named to the all-tournament team.

In 2016, he led the Panthers to their first 10+ win season since 2012 after steadily improving their record during his tenure. BSC went 12-5 overall and 4-3 in SAA play to finish tied for third in the league. They would fall to eventual champion Sewanee in the semifinals. Eight Panthers earned all-conference nods for their play throughout the year, headlined by Evan Lalande who was named a first-team midfielder.

Kear was an assistant men's lacrosse coach at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., from 2006-13. His main responsibility was coordinating the defense, and he was also the recruiting coordinator. Kear coached two NCAA All-Americans at FMC, and helped lead the Diplomats to top-20 national rankings in each of the past three seasons and 21 total wins in the last two seasons.

Kear is a 2006 graduate of State University of New York at Albany (SUNY Albany), where he received degrees in History and Sociology. He played varsity lacrosse for SUNY Albany, helping lead the Great Danes to the America East championships in 2004 and 2005. Prior to SUNY Albany, he attended Herkimer County Community College, winning the 2003 Junior College National Championship, and before that he attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point from 2001-2003.

Kear has also helped direct Tom Cavallaro's All-Star Lacrosse Camps in Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Texas over the past five years.
