My name is Charlotte Waeschle. I live in Chatham, NJ, and I am currently a junior at Chatham High School. Lacrosse has always been extremely important to me and my family; my mom played D1 lacrosse at Rutgers University, and she helped to coach my towns rec program for several years. I started playing for CLC in 5th grade and I fell in love with defense shortly after. I have always been a defensive leader and key communicator on my team. Contact defense comes naturally to me and I know when I need to apply pressure to an attacker. Coaches and teammates recognize me as a leader; I use this to take initiative both on and off the field. Being on a club team has helped to use my natural leadership in my everyday life; I am so grateful for all of the opportunities and lessons the sport has brought me. I challenged myself in school by taking college level courses such as AP Literature, AP US History, AP Seminar, AP World History, and Honors French. I am maintaining a 4.36 weighted/4.09 unweighted GPA. I have made the high honor roll for every semester of my high school career. I pride myself in my academic integrity and I am always looking to improve in my studies. Outside of school I am active in community service through clubs and through my church. I continue to embrace my natural leadership as a youth ministry leader and as an advisor for a few clubs. In my free time I like making my friends laugh, reading & writing, and, of course, watching the best TV show ever made; Glee.
