Chelsea Martin was named St. Lawrence University's Head Women's Lacrosse Coach on October 28, as announced by Senior Vice President for Athletics Bob Durocher.

Martin served as team captain of the 2015 National Champion Red Dragons' squad. In her four-years, SUNY Cortland boasted a record of 85-6, including a 48-0 home-field record. They were four-time SUNYAC Champions and made three runs to the NCAA Division III Final Four. Martin completed her undergrad at SUNY Cortland, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

An Ogdensburg, New York native and midfielder, Martin played in 89 games for the Red Dragons, she recorded 11 goals, six assists, 51 ground balls, 30 caused turnovers and 43 draw control wins.

Martin moved on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University in May of 2019 and most recently worked as a Physical Therapist at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, New York.

She has also worked as a Section X girls' lacrosse official, was an assistant lacrosse and soccer coach at SUNY Canton, coached the Different Road Patriots Girls Lacrosse Club in Watertown along with numerous summer camps and youth organizations.

Martin holds certifications and memberships in the Theory & Techniques of Coaching Girl's Lacrosse as well as Basketball, the Philosophy, Principles, & Organization of Coaching, Health Science Applied to Coaching and she is a APTA member and certified in Basic Life Support (CPR & AED).
