Honest, Assists over goals, hard work ethic, determined and more than just a FOGO if need be.
My Goal ever since I was a young age was to play D1 Lacrosse at the best lacrosse school and the best school possible. Through discovering face-offs in 6th Grade, the door opened more for me. I dominated the competition in NC up until 7th Grade. Kids were maturing, people knew how to pinch and pop, and people were getting quicker hands. While I was always a speed guy, I discovered the art of the jam and when kids knock others off the ball. It was only then when I realized it would take more. I saw that thousands of kids across the U.S and Baltimore were getting better, while I was staying the same. Every day, when school work permits, I listen to a face-off cadence to time myself. I also believe that really I am a mental person. I have beaten some of the best competition, but lost to kids who have big mouths or who have beaten me before. All these things I am taking into consideration as I hope to make it to the next level. One thing that I will say is that I do not want to go D1 just to say I play D1. It is really just a name in the grand scheme. If there isn't a school that I truly love for the academics, campus, and people, maybe lacrosse wasn't meant to be in college. As I excel in my academic prowess, I hope to become more wise about this whole process, but I am just thankful that I am going through this process.
