Recruit Profile
Hard working, aggressive midfielder willing to take on any challenge to help my team be successful. If I'm not be better than you, I will work harder than you.

I feel most alive when I walk onto the lacrosse field. The rapid heart beat. The adrenaline pumping. The excitement. And the camaraderie. There is no better feeling than walking onto a lacrosse field with your family, straight into battle.

I started playing lacrosse in the 4th grade as a defender. I spent 3 years as a defender and then moved into the position of 2-way middie. My freshman year I played as a 2-way middie and a member of our man-up offense. I have played for select summer teams for the past 3 years.

I have known the guys on my team for many years. We have put our blood, sweat, and tears into every one of our games. We have won and lost many games together. We have struggled, together, through traumatic life events as well as game day wins and losses.

With widespread talent on my team, I have to step up to be seen. My freshman year I started as a Varsity midfielder. I scored 20 goals, had 6 assists, and 38 ground balls that year. We were a Division II team and made it to the playoffs for the first time in team history. After the season we were moved to a Division I team. To become the best team in our division, I will have to bring my team up and make my team better with everything I do.

I excel in school, challenging myself with everything I am given. I maintain a GPA of 3.73. I was involved with DECA my freshman year. I took a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) course and found my passion. I have volunteered for both the City of Redmond and the City of Kirkland CERT drills. I am currently trained to be a City of Redmond Emergency Response team member. My junior year I was enrolled as a Running Start student at Lake Washington Institute of Technology, in addition to taking WANIC Fire and EMS courses, I plan on continuing this in my senior year.

I am excited to play lacrosse in college. The commitment and talent at that level will elevate my play. There is a lot I can learn and a lot I can give.

Colten has always been a hardworking, coachable and determined young man. He is even a better person and teammate off the field. Big body, and still growing, player who can score from the outside and finish close. Two way mid with good feet. Honor to coach him.
