Trinity College has announced the hiring of Daniel Corcoran to serve as assistant coach for the men's lacrosse team beginning in 2020.

Corcoran brings 18 years of coaching experience to Trinity, having worked most recently on the coaching staff at Connecticut College. Corcoran played at and graduated from Adelphi University in 1984. Corcoran has spent many years coaching both high school and college teams all over Connecticut. His high school coaching career included two stints as assistant and head coach at Simsbury High School and serving as an assistant at Avon Old Farms. Corcoran was also rewarded with the US Lacrosse Connecticut High School Coach of the Year in 2008. Corcoran most recently served as a coach for Connecticut College as an assistant, and in 2019 as the interim head coach, for 11 years. There, he was a recruiter, offensive and man-up coordinator, and defensive and man-down coordinator.

In addition to his college playing experience, he played lacrosse for New York Athletic Club and the London Lacrosse Club in England. In 2003, Corcoran founded Connecticut RIP-IT Lacrosse, a program that services youth lacrosse players through clinics and elite travel teams. Corcoran is the current director and has helped place over 200 student-athletes in college athletics. Corcoran currently resides in Simsbury, Connecticut, with his wife Barbara, and children Tyler, Ryan, Hannah and Meghan.
