Dane Armstrong
Recruit Profile
I work very hard at improving all of my skills in lacrosse and being a team leader. I am very proud that I am a team Captain. I have very fast natural hand speed that allows me to control the ball to myself. I am two or three steps ahead of my opponent which allows me to create offensive opportunities with fast breaks right from the whistle at X. If I don’t win the draw I grind out in the scrum for second, third, even fourth chances to win possession of the ball for my team.
I have been playing lacrosse for 10 years. In 2019 I won 75% of my face offs and in 2018 I won 71% of my faceoffs. I train very hard to keep improving that percentage so that I can win more often and get my team possession of the ball. I am also a contributing midfielder on offense and defense by scoring and assisting my teammates as well as defending, stopping and clearing the ball on defense.
I enjoy coaching youth lacrosse in my community league and clinics. I am a Pope John Ambassador, a member of the Pope John Tech Club and I have worked over 270 hours in community service at my school and community.
