Danika Sedivy
Recruit Profile
Dedicated, coachable, team player that enjoys life and laughter. I am an aggressive, determined, three sport athlete with a strong ability to lead.
I first started to play lacrosse at the age of 13. Prior to lacrosse I played competitive soccer at the age of 8. I stopped playing soccer at the age of 12 because my coach believed that I should have been a one sport athlete. I was not ready at that age to only play soccer, thus I found lacrosse. I play club for Summit Lacrosse, on the 2022 Elite team. Making this club team was very unexpected and very rewarding. It was very unexpected because I had only been playing lacrosse for two and a half years prior to the tryout, and it showed me that hard work and reaching for my goals will take me far in life. Playing last fall and this summer in numerous tournaments on the east coast has really shown me how much I love the game of Lacrosse. Loving the game so much I have decided to officiate little girls lacrosse games. I believe that officiating younger girls will help them develop the passion I have for lacrosse. In the fall of my Freshman year I started to play Field Hockey. I played on the C-Team, earning most- improved . Sophomore year I earned a spot on the Varsity team and we played in the state quarterfinals. In the winter, I look forward to swimming. Freshman year I was on the Junior Varsity team and was awarded hardest worker. Sophomore year I earned a Varsity letter on Junior Varsity and earned most valuable swimmer. This achievement meant the world to me because I was pushing myself all season to reach the time to qualify for the final meet of the season. Freshman year I earned a spot on Varsity Lacrosse and was awarded most- dedicated. Sophomore year I earned a spot on Varsity, but only played one game due to Covid-19. I have a 4.0 GPA and am highly involved in Student Government where we complete volunteer projects for the community and plan school events. Last year we were able to raise $30,000 for our sister school in Sierra Leone. I am also involved in Ambassadors, this is a leadership group that shares our love of Heritage with incoming students and with prospective students and parents.
I can't wait to play at the next level!
