Why Sussex?

If you are a hard-working student-athlete who is looking to play competitive lacrosse, earn an associates degree, save two years tuition from attending an expensive four year university, and use that degree to go to a competitive academic and athletic school, Sussex CCC may be a great fit for you. With the cost of four year colleges at an all time high, combined with an experienced coaching staff including Steve Manitta (a former Division 1 coach) and myself, Sussex offers a unique ability to showcase your lacrosse skills, earn a two year degree, and lean on our vast networking to play at a competitive NCAA level when you graduate. Start here, Go Anywhere.

About Me:

I am entering my first year at Sussex County Community College. Previously, I was the Head Coach at Mount Olive High School where I served as the head varsity coach during the schools inaugural year in 2005, and coached there until 2021. I also served as the assistant coach at Bayley-Ellard High School in Madison in 2003, and took over the program as the head coach in 2004, before the school would close in 2005.

Coaching for my father's lacrosse business, Ath-Ed Sports, I founded the Jersey Thunder Lacrosse Club in 2004. To this day, I am still involved in the program in many capacities.

I attended Montville High School, class of 1997, where I was a three sport athlete (football, wrestling, and lacrosse). I earned all conference honors in football in 1996, and in lacrosse in 1995, 1996, and 1997. I received all state honors in 1997, and broke the Montville High School Scoring record, which stood for 14 years.

I played college lacrosse at Drexel University, and played for the 1998 Drexel Team that stands out as one of the best in the team's NCAA Division 1 history.

Currently, I am a teacher of Marketing and Personal Finance at Mount Olive High School, coach lacrosse for the Newton Lacrosse Club, and I also coach Ice Hockey for the Skylands Kings organization out of Skylands Ice World in Stockholm.
