David Waldman is in his first season as Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Eastern.

He is responsible for assisting Head Coach Kevin Wallace with all aspects of the program's development and will serve as Defensive Coordinator for the Eagles this season.

David Waldman has dedicated himself to the sport of lacrosse for more than two decades at the scholastic and collegiate levels. Waldman began his college coaching career at Saint Joseph’s University in 1997 and helped the Division I Hawks to their first MAAC Conference Championship in 2000. In addition, Waldman taught in the Upper School and served as the Head Boys Lacrosse Coach at Friends’ Central School in 1999 and 2000. After leaving the private school ranks Waldman accepted the position of Head Lacrosse Coach at Strath Haven High School [2002- 2012] where he guided the Panthers to 124 wins and 10 straight playoff appearances. Since his departure from Strath Haven, Waldman has served as Defensive Coordinator at Great Valley High School [2013-2016] and Widener University [2017-2019].

David Waldman, who has been teaching at Strath Haven since 2001 and serves as Vice President of the Wallingford-Swarthmore Education Association. He was a two-year captain of the men’s lacrosse team at the College of Wooster in 1995 and 1996. He earned a bachelor’s degree in History from Wooster in 1996 as well as a Master’s in Education from Saint Joseph’s University in 1998.

Coach Waldman resides in West Chester with his wife Heather and their daughters Sophia and Erika.
