DiMarco Alyssa
Recruit Profile
Multi-sport athlete, high academic student, hardworker, coachable, team player, focused, and motivated.
For the entirety of my life, sports have always played a significant role. I started playing soccer at age 3 and became an elite soccer player, playing in some of the top leagues and showcases in the country, including the National League P.R.O. League. In addition to soccer, I have high school varsity letters in basketball, winter track, and lacrosse. These sports have been huge factors in shaping me into the person I am today, as they instilled in me a sense of hard work, perseverance, and determination, as well as my love for running and training in a competitive environment.
When I entered middle school, my affinity for lacrosse quickly began to grow. I started playing for my middle school, but I then lost my freshman season to Covid-19. As a sophomore, I played varsity at Red Bank Catholic High School, a high-level top 5 team in one of the most difficult NJ conferences that went 16-5 last year. By the end of the season, I was starting as a defender and midfielder and finished with 3 goals and 4 assists. I am also a member of Jersey Shore Select's 2023 Blue Team as a defender and will be playing in showcases this spring and summer.
Academically, I am an extremely accomplished student. I was the valedictorian of my middle school and earned the Student-Athlete Award. Additionally, I was ranked #2 out of 700 students in my freshman class at Old Bridge High School. Upon transferring to Red Bank Catholic my sophomore year, I maintain a 4.6586 GPA and have completed 6 AP classes with another 4 scheduled for my senior year. I am a National Honor Society member, the President of the RBC Environmental Club, and a participant in a multitude of community service projects. I'm also the director and founder of a fully-virtual tutoring service and website, Alyssa's Algebra, that I created during the pandemic.
As a lacrosse player, I am an athletic and agile defender. I am quick to intercept passes and stop offensive runs. I am comfortable in man-to-man and backer zone defenses. As a midfielder, my endurance and high lacrosse IQ allow me to be impactful in every zone. Although I am a natural lefty, I am tremendously comfortable using both hands for catching, throwing, and shooting. I received the RBC Casey Award last year from my coaches, for being coachable, dedicated, hard-working, and a good teammate.
