Growing up in Westchester County, New York, Coach Don Green had the opportunity to learn from and watch some of best lacrosse minds in the game. As a youth, Don developed his love for lacrosse by attending games with his father, the real Coach Green. Regularly attending Yorktown High School games he had the opportunity to see greats like Dom Finn, Dave Marr, Rob Kavovit, Paul and Brian Carcaterra plus the epic showdowns between Roy Colsey and Ric Beardsley.

Over the span of his youth and high school playing career, Coach Green had the opportunity to play in the Yorktown youth program and study the game under some of most knowledgeable coaches in lacrosse including Vin Savastano, Ted Georgelas, Frank Vitolo, Bob Turco and MV Whitlow. These influences helped him become a four-year starter in goal at Hendrick Hudson High School before playing lacrosse at tradition-rich Nazareth College.

At Nazareth, Coach Green received all-conference honors while being a part of two Empire 8 Championship teams and an NCAA semifinalist team. He also had the opportunity to be a part of the 2004 National Championship. Coach Green left Nazareth with a degree in business with concentrations in marketing and sports management.

Following college, Coach Green served as the Director of Operations for the New Jersey Pride of Major League Lacrosse. Taking steps closer to his passion for teaching and helping young students and athletes, Don earned his Masters in Counseling from The College of New Jersey.

This afforded him opportunities to work in admissions at The Hun School of Princeton and as a school/college counselor at Robbinsville High School in Central New Jersey. All the while, Coach Green has coached and organized major club lacrosse programs. The unique combination of experiences in college/school counseling and all aspects of lacrosse has allowed Don to develop a holistic approach to the recruiting process. His focus is to find the best fit for all players and families based on academics, social fit, major choices and lacrosse.

Coach Green lives in Lawrenceville with his wife and two daughters Yardley (3 ½) and Cortland (9 months).
