Douglas Sage is in his first year as an assistant coach for Manhattan Men's Lacrosse program.

At Manhattan, Sage will assist in all areas with a focus on the offense and faceoff units.

Sage arrives in Riverdale after spending the past four seasons as the Head Coach at Drew University.

In 2018, Drew finished 25th in Division III in fewest turnovers per game (15.07) while ranking third in the Landmark Conference in man-down defense (.744).

Prior to his tenure in the Garden State, he spent five years as Head Coach at The University of Scranton, leading the program to 47-35 record and five consecutive berths in the conference tournament.

He also served as an assistant coach at Gettysburg College and Stevens Institute of Technology, and is the President & Director of Next Level Lacrosse and Gamerz Lacrosse.

Sage's coaching career path started in 2002 as the offensive coordinator at Gettysburg, where he helped lead the Bullets to a 17-2 record and an appearance in the NCAA Division III National Championship game.

He also has served as the athletics director at Immaculate Heart Academy in Washington Township, NJ from 2002-06, and also coached the boys lacrosse team at nearby St. Joseph's Regional High School in Montvale, N.J. from 2003-06.

A standout at Gettysburg from 1995-98, Gage helped the Bullets reach the NCAA semifinals in both 1995 and 1997 and graduated with a bachelor's degree in environmental science in the spring of 1998. He then earned a master's in business administration from Scranton in 2016.
