Head lacrosse coach Bonnie Rosen has announced the addition of Assistant Coach Liz Trojan to the staff for the upcoming season.

Trojan will begin her time with the Owls in late August.

"I'm so grateful for the opportunity to begin my coaching career at Temple!" Trojan said. "I'm looking forward to a successful season and can't wait to learn and grow alongside talented players and coaches. Go Owls!"

A five-year member of the Villanova lacrosse team, Trojan amassed 100 goals, 23 assists, and 212 shots. She put 151 shots on target for a .712 shots on goal percentage and picked up 41 ground balls. The Airmont, NY. native also registered 16 caused turnovers and 32 draw controls.

A two-time BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll recipient, Trojan was also named to the All-BIG EAST First Team her junior year. Her 17 career free-position goals are third in Villanova program history, and her 10 in 2019 sits third for free-position goals in a single season.

After suffering a career-ending injury in February of 2021, Trojan transferred roles with the team and served as a student coach for the rest of the season. As a student coach, she focused on offense and worked with the Wildcats' coaching staff on offensive strategies. Trojan worked with the team in individual as well as group settings, where she helped them develop strong shooting and finishing techniques. She also helped coordinate team travel including flight coordination, team meals, and being the facility point of contact.

"We are thrilled to welcome Liz to our Temple lacrosse family!" Rosen said. "Liz was a very talented collegiate lacrosse plater on the field and proven leader for her team. Her game IQ, maturity, ability to teach, competitiveness, passion for coaching, and team-first attitude make her the perfect addition to our coaching staff."

Trojan graduated in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in media studies and media production, and earned a Public Administration Certificate in May 2021.
