I started playing lacrosse when I was about 8 years old in West Linn, Oregon. After moving to Northfield, Minnesota, I continued to play club lacrosse until I made the High School varsity team in 8th grade (14 years old) where I started as a line 1 midfielder. During my freshman year, I was the top scorer and first in assists on my team. I am fully comfortable cradling, dodging, passing, and shooting with both hands, and I am an aggressive defender as well. I am not currently playing other high school sports; however, I intend to rejoin cross country and possibly basketball for my senior year, both of which I have a background in. In my high school career, I have taken mostly advanced or AP courses; my AP list so far includes Biology, Chemistry, World History, and Psychology. As of the end of the first semester of my junior year, I have a 3.99 GPA (unweighted) and am 5th (unweighted) and 11th (weighted) in my class of over 300. My extracurriculars/hobbies include orchestra, (I play the cello), art, and backpacking/camping. I am in the National Honors society, as well as BSA (Boy Scouts of America), where I'm working towards becoming part of the first generation of female Eagle Scouts. During my junior year, I've participated as a student representative on the Human Rights Commission of Northfield, which explores issues of race and equity in the community.
