I did not starting playing lacrosse until I was 15, at the end of my freshman year. I had originally played basketball for several years prior and decided to try something new. I began practicing on my own during the pandemic for high school tryouts in the spring. After the 2021 season, I was voted a Captain for the 2022 season and received the honors of OAA All-League. Even though I just started playing, I am very athletic. I use my speed and agility as well as dodging skills to get by girls, and pride myself on strong man and zone defense. Currently, as a junior, I average 5.05 goals a game and recently broke the record for most goals in a game with 10. I also play on the varsity basketball team and ran varsity cross country as a freshman, and have a determination to be a successful student. I currently have a 4.1 weighted GPA, and take challenging courses like Honors Language Arts, AP US History, AP Language Arts, and AP Chemistry. Finally, I am a member of my school's Spanish National Honors Society, National Honor Society, and Link Crew program. My academic interests fall in the math/science field. I may have just started playing lacrosse, but I am willing to learn, work hard, and push myself to become the best player I can be. I improve everyday, and will continue to work to become a dominant lacrosse player.
